History
Harry King founded the agency on January 1, 1927 with the signing of a contract with Day-Brite Lighting. The Agency progressed through three generations of the King Family.
Michael O’Ryan and Gary Harmeling purchased the business in 1992. Greg Jones became a partner in 2005. Mike O’Ryan retired on 1/31/2016. King Lighting presently employs 20+ people in two offices, Florence, Ky and Dayton, Oh. Their ongoing partnerships with many outstanding manufacturers of commercial, industrial, residential lighting and controls companies continue unprecedented growth for the company.

 

Community
King Lighting, Inc. has been a part of the Southwestern Ohio and Northern Kentucky Business Community for nearly 90 years. Many of our team members have lifelong connections with the community in which we live. King Lighting, Inc has always nurtured and encouraged an atmosphere for its employees to give back to their community on an individual basis. As a corporation, we also recognize the importance of our time and efforts to help make our region and community a wonderful place to live.

King Lighting, Inc. believes that a corporation also has the responsibility to use its influence, resources and talents to make a positive impact on the world around us. With this in mind, every year a project or charity is employee chosen and an internal goal is set to raise funds, items and time for this cause.
